Children’s Liturgy of the Word provides an opportunity to involve the children of the parish in the liturgy at a level understandable to them. The leader of Children’s Liturgy escorts the children to the chapel where they are welcomed and hear the first reading and Gospel from the Children’s Lectionary.  The leader then directs the children in an interactive talk based on the Gospel using elements from modern life to help the children understand. Children are given handouts to take home that help to reinforce the liturgy of the word.
 

Children are encouraged to participate each week during the 9:30 Mass by coming forward when called by the presiding priest.
